My Cyber Guardian Educational Services Inc. (Become An Upstander) is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) educational organization, whose mission is to prevent all forms of peer victimization among youth and assemble community resources for those already victimized or at high risk for victimization. Because of the strong influence technology has on our culture, we place an emphasis on the role technology plays in these issues.
The Become an Upstander programs utilize research-based, community-driven, best practices approaches to tackling issues such as bullying, cyber bullying and teen dating violence. Research shows the most effective response reported by a bullying victim, that reduced their trauma, was a peer becoming an Upstander and connecting with them while still at school.
